SEASON'S GREETINGS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Welcome to our Christmas edition of UpDate, wishing you all the best for the holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

2006 has proved to be one of our busiest years and the most successful to date. We’ve worked with over 45 clients on 4 continents in around 15 countries. We are proud that this success can be summed up in the comments of one delegate:

“ChangeMaker provides a unique opportunity to reflect and recharge. To develop and hone your leadership skills – that can impact your work and personal life.  A competitive advantage for our company.”

As a result of strengthening our relationships with our partner companies ChangeMaker Leadership Performance and ChangeMaker Consulting we have increased the range of services we offer. Our combined strengths can now provide a comprehensive Team, Individual and Organisation Development platform for our clients and this will form the core of our strategy for 2007.

The caricature on the right was given to Andy at an open-air restaurant in Wuhan during a recent work trip to the Yangtze Basin. This and our other experiences got us thinking about what we have learned from our travels in China. As a result we have been commissioned to write an article which should be published in January. Which reminds me; our PR campaign has been really successful over the last 5 months. We have had articles or been quoted in various specialist publications including CXO Europe, Managing Partner, Personnel Today, Marketing Week and The Financial Times.

MEET THE TEAM

Chris’s inspirational adventures in Africa have continued and so we have decided to make our donation in lieu of Christmas cards to a charity which has been created for teenage girls from Kibera the large slum area in Nairobi, featured in the film “The Constant Gardner”. LightBox is a book comprised entirely of photographs and essays by the girls and 100% of proceeds support The Binti Pamoja Center Scholarship Fund, which helps these girls attend high school. For every three copies of LightBox, they can personally fund a one-year scholarship and the purchaser gets a stunning book into the bargain.  If you want to support us in this you can check it out and buy at http://www.bintipamoja.org/book/purchase.htm

Our next DiscoveryLearning trip to Africa is on the 13th-20th January for a small group of people “in search of inspiration and the essential qualities of leadership”

We’ll see you in the New Year.

And best wishes from the ChangeMaker Team
