Helen Smith

A multi-skilled operations specialist with experience as an international office manager in the Education sector

Helen joined our business in September 2008 and recently became totally responsible for co-ordinating our administrative procedures and for managing our financial operations. She also provides support for our programmes and events.

Helen worked for over 20 years at the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, where she rose through the ranks to become Group Manager of the Professional Qualifications Administration and Development Unit. As a senior manager in the international branch of the school examinations business, Helen was responsible for the administrative support of a number of bespoke validated awards which varied in structure and complexity.

Helen brings to the business her eye for detail, highly developed organisational skills and a strong sense of humour. She is impressed with her new commute to work – ten minutes from Stow on the Wold which is a refreshing change from six miles on the A14 in Cambridgeshire which took twice as long. When not in the office, Helen spends time weeding the garden, although she prefers walking (especially in the Lake District) and researching her family history.
