Pete Robinson - UK

A dynamic and experienced trainer and coach with 20 years' international training experience. He has run innovative and engaging courses at all levels within organisations and has the rapport building skills to work effectively with supervisors in a shipyard to directors of a major pharmaceutical company.

Pete's specific areas of expertise include Developing Leadership, Personal Coaching and Facilitation, Working Effectively with Others, Negotiation Skills – Commercial, Team Development – for work teams, Presentation Skills, Personal action planning and goal setting, Management of Change, Train the Trainer and Introduction to 5 S and business improvement techniques. His recent assignments have involved running introductory e-learning workshops for European and global MBA programmes; training for supervisors on effective team working and leadership skills; continuous improvement techniques for line managers and programme direction for a performance acceleration workshop.

Pete has been an associate of ChangeMaker for many years. He has worked as a consultant and facilitator with a wide variety of clients that includes Kraft, General Motors, and Henley Management College. His main area of expertise involves a focus on the behaviour of the individuals and the impact this has on the organisation. He has been involved in running our management development modules for Maersk in China and India.

Pete's background was initially in retail management from where he progressed to the role of training manager for a leading training organisation. This role involved staff management as well as all aspects of health and safety training for the organisation. Pete is a qualified Practitioner in NLP, is a licensed Myers Briggs Indicator Level 2 User and has completed Transactional Analysis training. He holds a Level 4 Certificate in Training and Development (CIPD). He has recently completed the Lominger Voices training. He has attended many seminars on a wide range of professional development topics ranging from Training the Trainer to Kaizen and 5 S within the workplace. He has recently published a training related article "Support and Challenge for Trainers" for a leading training publication.

Outside work he plays the guitar and is an experienced climber and mountaineer and also a keen offshore yachtsman, which is an ideal environment to develop his personal teamwork and leadership skills.
